Product Safety & Manuals
MATLIFT is a material lifter brand of EWP Spares Pty Ltd (ABN 41 669 377 146). MATLIFT provides product information, manuals and support resources. Purchases of units and parts are made through EWP Spares.
Material lifting only
MATLIFT material lifters are for moving appropriate materials within their specified operating limits. Do not lift, carry or support people using these machines. Do not stand beneath a raised load.
Before operating a lifter
- Identify the correct model and serial number and read the applicable operator manual, capacity chart and safety labels.
- Confirm the machine, attachments and load are suitable for the proposed task and within the verified rated limits.
- Inspect the mast, cable, winch, brakes, legs, stabilisers, retaining pins and other critical components. Remove defective equipment from use.
- Check ground stability, overhead obstructions and power lines, weather conditions, exclusion zones and personnel movement.
- Ensure operators are competent for the task and understand setup, operation and emergency procedures.
During lifting
Follow the correct operator manual and site controls. Secure the load, keep people clear of the lifting area, watch for instability and overhead hazards, and stop work if conditions become unsafe. Do not exceed the documented load limits or use unauthorised attachments or modifications.
Manuals and risk assessments
Download the relevant documents from Manuals & Support. Check revision, model and serial-number applicability before use. A generic risk assessment is a starting point only; the owner, operator and site duty holders must address actual workplace conditions and implement appropriate controls. A generic document does not replace applicable duties or an equipment-specific operator manual.
Faults, safety incidents and product notices
Stop using equipment that may be unsafe. Isolate and clearly identify the affected unit, protect people from any hazard and notify the appropriate responsible personnel. Contact the supplier with the model, serial number, issue details and photographs where safe to obtain them. Where necessary, follow any applicable reporting, corrective-action and recall requirements.
